Question 1

How does billing work?

Accepted Answer

Livery, lessons and extras are billed monthly in arrears. You receive a statement by email early in the month showing each horse, every line item and any discounts.

Question 2

Do you offer discounts for more than one horse?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Owners with two or more horses on the yard receive a multi-horse discount, which is shown as its own line on your monthly statement.

Question 3

Is there an indoor or floodlit arena?

Accepted Answer

Our all-weather arena is floodlit, so lessons and schooling carry on through winter evenings.

Question 4

Do you offer lessons for complete beginners?

Accepted Answer

We do. Beginners start on our school horses in the arena with a private lesson so we can get your position and confidence right before moving into group work.

Question 5

How old must a child be to start riding?

Accepted Answer

From about six years old for a proper lesson. Younger children are welcome for lead-rein sessions and pony handling with a parent present.

Question 6

Can I take lessons on my own horse?

Accepted Answer

Yes, lessons on your own horse are welcome whether you are stabled with us or trailering in. Just book ahead so we can keep the arena free.

Question 7

Do you have space for new liveries?

Accepted Answer

We keep the yard deliberately small, so space comes up a few times a year. Send us an enquiry and we will let you know what is open and put you on the waiting list if the option you want is full.

Question 8

What is included in full livery?

Accepted Answer

Full livery covers a deep-bedded stable, daily turnout, all feed and hay, mucking out, rug changes, holding for the farrier, dentist and vet, and daily checks with feedback to you.

Question 9

Can I do my own horse on DIY?

Accepted Answer

Yes. DIY liveries get a stable, paddock turnout and use of the arena and facilities, and you look after the day-to-day yourself. We can add assisted days when you are away.

Question 10

Do you go out on outrides?

Accepted Answer

We hack out on quiet tracks straight off the property. Outrides are matched to your ability, and we ride in small groups with a yard escort.

Question 11

Can I come and see the yard first?

Accepted Answer

Please do. Visits are by appointment Tuesday to Saturday so someone is free to walk you around and answer questions properly.

Question 12

What are your opening hours?

Accepted Answer

The yard is open Tuesday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm. Owners with horses on livery have arranged access outside those hours.
