Winter hay fund
Building up the hay store early so no horse on the yard goes short in the dry months.
Buying hay in bulk before winter is the single best thing we do for the horses. Prices climb sharply once the veld dries out, so filling the store in autumn keeps rations generous and costs steady for owners.
Contributions to the hay fund help us buy a full load at a time.
